Brookings Health System is seeking an Obstetrics Patient Care Technician to join our team to deliver the best possible care!

Compensation range for this position is $16.15 to $23.91, depending on experience.

The Patient Care Technician provides support to the unit so that patient care is delivered efficiently and effectively.   In this position, the incumbent will provide general care to patients under the supervision of a licensed nurse to include but not limited to obtaining vitals, blood glucose, bathing, grooming, dressing, eating, ambulating, toileting, and all other assistance required to care for the patient.  Also, will include transporting patients to areas for diagnostics, treatments, or discharge; assist with the patient requests or care as appropriate. Other duties include but not limited to administrative support, stocking, cleaning and sanitizing.

REQUIREMENTS:

• BLS certification required upon hire or able to obtain.

• High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred but not required.

• Minimum age of 16 years.

JOB TYPE:

• Full time, part time or PRN shifts available

• 3 pm to 11 pm

• Monday through Friday

• On call for weekends

• Night shift differential for any hours worked between 7 pm and 7 am
