Job Summary
Provides therapeutic massage to restore function, prevent disability, reduce stress and optimize wellness.
Essential Functions
- Performs a variety of massage techniques under the guidance of leadership as indicated in patients plan of care.
- Demonstrates clinical reasoning, coupled with clinical skills to conduct accurate clinical assessments and perform patient care activities; evaluates the effectiveness of massage therapy.
- Communicates patient information and thoroughly documents therapy actions and plan of care.
- Completes billing information at the time of service.
Requires frequent standing, walking, and reaching in front of the body. Required to lift up to 10 lbs. frequently. Requires use of fingers and both hands, speaking with clear diction, and hearing (corrected). Possible exposure to hazardous chemicals, blood, and body fluids.
