About the job you’re considering:
We are looking for a Senior/Lead Embedded Software Engineer to drive the iRDK bring-up and platform enablement on MediaTek C-X1 SoC platforms. In this highly visible technical leadership role, you will own the end-to-end bring-up effort from Evaluation Kit (EVK) through custom iRDK hardware platforms, serving as the primary technical interface with MediaTek and cross-functional engineering teams. You will play a critical role in defining system architecture, accelerating platform readiness, and ensuring successful product delivery
Your Role:
- Lead the technical execution of iRDK bring-up activities on MediaTek C-X1 platforms.
- Own the platform development lifecycle from EVK validation through custom board integration and production readiness.
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact with MediaTek for SoC enablement, escalations, and issue resolution.
- Drive BSP development, board bring-up, kernel integration, and system-level debugging activities.
- Collaborate with hardware, software, QA, and product teams to ensure seamless platform integration.
- Debug and resolve complex boot, driver, kernel, and hardware/software interaction issues.
- Enable and optimize Linux-based embedded platforms, including bootloader and kernel customization.
- Define bring-up plans, track technical milestones, and communicate progress to stakeholders.
- Mentor engineering teams and provide technical leadership on embedded software best practices.
- Support productization efforts, ensuring scalability, performance, stability, and maintainability of the platform.
- Work closely with SoC vendors and external partners to accelerate issue resolution and technology adoption
Your Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field
- 10+ years' embedded SW experience; 5+ years in a staff or lead role
- Direct hands-on experience with Mediatek SoC platforms (C-X1, MT8xxx series, or equivalent)
- Proven track record leading ECU/SoC bringup programs end-to-end
- Strong BSP and kernel bring-up expertise (Linux, U-Boot or equivalent bootloader)
- C/C++, Python/Rust; hardware debug tools (Lauterbach, JTAG, oscilloscope)
- Excellent cross-team communication; experience working directly with SoC vendors
The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: $73,150- $174,000
