We are seeking an individual to help contribute and develop feature enhancements, roadmap stories, unit and functional tests for product development. Scope:

• Core responsibilities includes focusing on innovation and improving delivery effectiveness by helping to develop product development features
• Apply and learn the appropriate software engineering patterns utilizing a meta-driven systems approach to build robust and scalable systems
• Intermediate level experience in OO and Functional programming and the ability to apply your skills in developing Blue Yonder products.
• Participation in software designs which include providing feedback on feature designs and/or implementation.
• Intermediate problem-solving skills that can help the team in triaging operational issues. Goal is to develop your expertise in eliminating repeat occurrences.
• The team currently comprises of global associates across US, Canada, India, and Germany and is expected to grow. The incumbent will need to be a quick learner.

Our current technical environment:

• Software/Tools: Java, Python, Groovy, GitHub, Node.js, React.js, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, SonarQube, Codacy, Checkmarx, GitHub Advance Security, Black Duck Hub, BlazeMeter, Artifactory, Ansible, Docker, etc.
• Application Architecture: Scalable, Resilient, event driven, secure multi-tenant Microservices architecture
• Cloud Architecture: MS Azure (ARM templates, AKS, Virtue Networks, Event Hub, Azure AD)
• Frameworks/Others: Kubernetes, Kafka, Elasticsearch, Spark, NOSQL, RDBMS, Spring Boot, Snowflake

What you’ll do:

• Develop quality software with the focus on REST APIs and Microservices (including effective unit test code) according to clean code principles and Blue Yonder standards
• Development will include roadmap features, unit and functional tests, along with supporting documentation
• Participate in team Agile activities such as backlog grooming, planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives
• Plan and prioritize your work with inputs from your lead or manager
• Provide architectural design feedback (inputs/suggestions) on product features
• Autonomously perform code refactoring to improve local software quality
• Actively provide feedback during code reviews
• Assist in deployment and troubleshooting of applications that are integrated with Azure, Kubernetes, Elastic Search, and other services
• Provide development support/guidance for day-to-day operations/systems
• Keep up to date with technology and research latest trends in the industry

What we are looking for:

• Bachelor’s degree (STEM preferred) and minimum 2 years of experience in Software development
• Intermediate programming skills and background in Java, Spring Boot, Python, and Bash
• Ability to debug and diagnose issues in enterprise applications
• Hands-On experience and Proficiency in below technical skills
