Triumvirate Environmental (BestPlus), one of the largest environmental services firms in North America, is seeking an (on site) Janitor for our Jeannette, PA team. This position reports to the Sr. Business and Project Manager. This detail-oriented, highly motivated, driven individual will be responsible for daily cleaning and facilities work.

Our BestPLUS recycled plastic lumber business is part of a larger strategy to help customers become greener and more sustainable. We’ve developed a proprietary process that converts a variety of waste materials into multiple grades and profiles of plastic lumber for many applications and markets. Essential responsibilities:

• Remove trash and garbage inside and outside of the building.
• Sweep sidewalks, shovel sidewalks during winter months.
• Clean and sanitize all restrooms, including floors, toilets, sinks, mirrors, etc.
• Bare floor maintenance – Sweep, wash, mop, wax, buff.
• Carpet floor maintenance – Vacuum, clean.
• Clean tables, desks, chairs, countertops, door handles, etc.
• Maintain kitchen equipment, including microwaves, coffee machines, water coolers, ice machines, etc.
• Stock all kitchen supplies (plates, cups, utensils, condiments, coffee machines, etc.)
• Clean walls, trim, fixtures, windows, and glass doors.
• Manage routine upkeep of exterior areas, green space, and parking lot.
• Inspect all areas for safety, e.g. lighting, entrance, exits, emergency lighting, clear walkways.
• Inventory cleaning supplies, tools, equipment, and order needed items.
• Change light bulbs, perform minor repair work.
• Inspect all buildings for needed maintenance; notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs.
• Handle emergency cleaning and upkeep requests
• Other duties as assigned.

Basic Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs. on a repetitive basis.
• Must be able to stand up to 8 consecutive hours a day.
• Self-motivated person with the desire to learn.
• Team player with good communication skills.
• Successful completion of OSHA/ DOT physical examination which includes drug and alcohol screening.

Preferred Requirements:

• Ability to operate cold weather equipment - snow plow, salt spreaders, snow blowers, shovels.
• Painting experience, interior and exterior.
• Familiarity with operating and maintaining small engine equipment, lawn, and garden tools.

 

 This is a SAFETY SENSITIVE position.
