FP&A Senior/Manager

Garda Capital Partners (Garda) is a multi-billion dollar alternative investment firm with over 21 years of experience deploying relative value strategies across fixed income markets for institutional investors. Garda has offices in Wayzata, New York City, West Palm Beach, Geneva, Zug, Copenhagen, Singapore, and Scottsdale.

Garda is looking to hire a FP&A Senior/Manager to be focused on forecasting, budgeting, and management reporting, based out of our Wayzata office. This position reports to the Controller and will play a critical role in financial modeling, reporting, and providing strategic insights to support the firm’s success.

Position Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and execution of internal financial reporting, ensuring accuracy, thoroughness, and timely delivery to leadership teams
• Communicate financial results, forecasts, and insights to business leaders, analyzing variances and presenting actionable recommendations to enhance performance
• Develop detailed financial models, strategic analyses, and key performance metrics with clear documentation of assumptions and instructions
• Develop financial models for portfolio management business line growth proposals and tracking progress against proposals
• Develop financial models to allocate business income and expenses using different allocation methodologies, including by trading strategy and by office
• Manage compensation models for business and investment management personnel, including assisting with historical analysis and trends
• Work closely with business development to forecast and track against hiring goals
• Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process for the company, including tracking results against budget
• Assist other functions with forecasting requirements including forecasts required for tax and regulatory reporting
• Assist with various other ad-hoc projects including but not limited various accounting tasks, as required

 

Desired Qualifications & Skills

• 4-year degree in accounting/finance or related field
• Five (5) years of financial analysis and/or FP&A experience; preferably in the asset management industry
• Experience with NetSuite ERP or Planning and Budgeting a plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to engage effectively with members of multiple business units
• Deep understanding of financial reporting principles (GAAP, IFRS)
• Proven ability to analyze complex financial data, present key insights, and recommend strategic actions
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, time-sensitive team environment
• Strong organizational and time management skills
