As the market leader in P&C insurance software, Guidewire must maintain a clear understanding of our customer needs and has built an industry platform – Guidewire Cloud Platform – to enable the products and solutions that serve those needs. Traditionally delivered on-premises and self-managed, today our customers are increasingly looking to leverage the power of the cloud to reduce IT complexity, minimize operational costs, and unlock innovations that can differentiate their business. More specifically, they want to transition select insurance lines of business for hosting in Guidewire Cloud so they can focus on business agility while Guidewire assumes full operational responsibility as a true Cloud/SaaS solution provider.

Guidewire is looking for an experienced product manager to drive the development and maturity of our Test Engineering capabilities. You will work with a talented team of product managers, engineers, and other key contributors focused on capturing complex customer requirements that cover a wide breadth of applications and services, understanding dependencies and risks at all levels of a cloud solution, and deep knowledge of testing best practices and tools.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and drive the product strategy, roadmap, and vision for Test Engineering, with a deep understanding of Guidewire software.

  • Deliver stable, error-free solutions, ensuring optimal user experience, and continuous product improvement for Guidewire customers

  • Establish clear quality metrics and objectives to measure the success of testing efforts across a complex portfolio of Cloud applications and services

  • Demonstrate flexibility and ability to adapt to change in a fast-paced work environment.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5-8 years of experience in the commercial enterprise/B2B software market, with at least 3+ years in technical product management.

  • Experience in test engineering for an organization delivering multiple applications and services to the customer in a Cloud environment.  

  • Extensive knowledge of capturing complex customer requirements, understanding dependencies and risks at all levels of a cloud solution, and deep knowledge of testing best practices and tools.

  • Keen judgment in analyzing sophisticated problems to make meaningful prioritization decisions and provide appropriate direction to engineering teams.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills including the ability to present clearly and persuasively to customers, partners, colleagues, and senior executives.

  • MA/MS and BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. 

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $138,000 - $208,000 . Your base pay will depend on your experience, skills, education, training, and location among other factors. All full-time positions or part-time roles working 30 hours or more a week at Guidewire are eligible for benefits that support their health and well-being including health, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, and a company sponsored retirement plan. In addition, some roles may be eligible for the annual company bonus plan, commissions, and/or long term incentive awards which are contingent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, company and employee performance.
