Physical Therapist Aide

Florida Physical Therapy Institute (FPTI) has 10 clinics across the south Florida area and we are continuing to grow. The FPTI team provides the best individualized patient care in the south Florida area.

We are looking for a Full-Time Aide/Patient Care Coordinator  for our Estero location. We offer competitive compensation and benefits packages, as well as opportunities for professional growth and development.

Responsibilities - Aide:

• Set up equipment and prepare treatment areas for therapy sessions.
• Escort patients to and from treatment areas
• Monitor patients during therapy sessions and report any changes or concerns to the Physical Therapist
• Clean and maintain equipment and treatment areas.

Responsibilities - Front Office:

• Managing all front office duties:
  • Answering phones and greeting everyone with a smile
  • Computerized scheduling using WebPT
  • Basic Microsoft Excel reporting
  • Performing insurance verifications/authorizations
  • Exception customer service
• Previous medical experience & understanding of medical insurance preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16 - $19/hr

Experience

• Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)
• Medical terminology: 1 year (Preferred)
• Computer skills: 1 year (Preferred)
• Medical or business office front desk management desirable but not required
• Insurance industry claims processing/management desirable but not required
• Attention to detail--mathematical and data processing
• Data processing proficiency—Practice management software, Microsoft Word
• Communication skills—written, verbal and general interactive
• Organizational skills—priority setting, file maintenance & report generation
