Job Description

Sobi is currently seeking an Associate Director, Revenue and Gross-to-Net accounting to add to our Finance team. This position is responsible for revenue recognition including month close activities, gross to net accounting, revenue forecasting, and other special projects.

Key Responsibilities/Scope of the Job:

  • Perform monthly close activities, including ownership of gross-to-net model, preparation of journal entries related to revenue recognition, gross to net, accounts receivable and ensuring all sales and customer transactions are loaded in ERP system.
  • Main point of contact with third-party logistics providers to review accounts receivable, product return credit management, and troubleshoot issues as they come up.
  • Perform analysis of Sales, Medicaid, Managed Care, chargebacks, returns, copay and other GTN components
  • Manage distribution and patient service accruals including review of invoices.
  • Support with preparation of the revenue Budget, forecasts and long-range plan.
  • Prepare and present financial reports, including revenue dashboards and analysis, to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners including Market Access, Trade & Distribution, Commercial Analytics, legal and others to ensure accurate revenue recognition and forecasting.
  • Drive automation initiatives to streamline revenue and gross-to-net accounting processes.
  • Ensure revenue recognition policies and procedures are in accordance with GAAP and industry regulations.
  • Maintain and enhance organizational practices to ensure proper recognition of revenue and ensure the integrity of key processes by understanding systems and flow of transactions.
  • Serve as a primary contact to external auditors as part revenue audit procedures.
  • Assist with special projects and ad hoc requests

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification plus
  • 7+ years’ experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech/medtech industry and/or Big 4 Accounting Firm
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS and industry specific accounting standards (e.g., ASC 606)
  • Strong written/verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member in time sensitive environment.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and detail oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects/tasks simultaneously.
  • In-depth, highly technical, analysis skills, aptitude, and high proficiency in Word/Excel/PowerPoint are required.

Additional Information

The base salary pay range for this role is $146,000-$190,000 annually. Actual pay for this position will take into account factors such as experience and location. In addition to a base salary, this position is also eligible for a competitive 401k match, short and long-term incentives, medical, dental, vision, STD/LTD and life insurance benefits, in addition to other health and wellness programs and offerings.
