Principal Scientist / Associate Director, Vaccines

Position Summary:

We are looking for a Principal Scientist who brings enthusiasm, intellectual curiosity, scientific rigor and a desire to innovate new eRNA-based infectious disease vaccines for patients. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for conceiving and developing eRNA-based vaccine for various pathogens with a focus on viral pathogens
• Design, execute and interpret in vitro and ex vivo preclinical studies
• Design and analyze preclinical in vivo studies to understand eRNA and expressed antigens interaction with immune system
• Develop novel cellular and serological assays
• Work in a cross-functional team to advance various vaccines through preclinical development
• Represent vaccine projects to senior leadership and internal stakeholders
• Support preclinical studies through oversight of contract research organizations and contribute to relevant data analysis
• Communicate scientific data and draw appropriate conclusions effectively.
• Ensure high quality documents for regulatory submissions, manuscripts, abstracts and publications, and timely filing of intellectual property on novel and inventive discoveries. 

Requirements:

• • PhD in microbiology, molecular virology, vaccinology, immunology, or related disciplines
  • Industry experience conducting and/or leading small teams in the discovery and development of infectious disease vaccines, encompassing areas such as antigen design, immunology, virology, translational research
  • 12 or more years of related experience 
  • Technical knowledge developing biochemical, serological, and cell-based assays (qPCR, FACS, flow cytometry, Western Blot, ELISA, virus neutralization, ICS, ELISPOT etc…)
  • Demonstrates initiative and ability to capitalize on scientific creativity and insights.
  • Motivated and creative problem-solver
  • Proven ability to build open and collaborative relationships and work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
