DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Vice President of Engineering to lead our Engineering team, building the next generation of Healthcare Commercial Analytics solutions. As the VP Engineering, you will play a critical role in shaping the technical strategy, driving innovation, and ensuring the successful delivery of our SaaS products. You will oversee the development and maintenance of our software applications, managing a team of talented engineers, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to meet our strategic business objectives.

Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership:

• Define and drive the technical vision, strategy, and roadmap in alignment with business goals.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to the engineering team on technology selection, architecture, and best practices.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends in the healthcare, including React UIs, Microservices with .NET C#, relational and document-style datastores in Postgres and Elasticsearch, Big Data platforms such as Databricks and Snowflake, and other relevant technologies.

Team Management and Development:

• Manage and mentor a high-performing, international engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
• Set clear performance goals and expectations, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance evaluations.
• Identify skill gaps and develop training programs to enhance the technical capabilities of the team.
• Foster a diverse and inclusive work environment that encourages creativity and personal growth.

Product Development and Delivery:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Management, UX/UI, and Customer Success, to define product roadmaps and release plans.
• Ensure timely and high-quality delivery of software applications, exceeding customer expectations and maintaining a high level of reliability and scalability.
• Drive agile development methodologies and processes, improving efficiency and productivity across engineering teams.

Technical Operations:

• Oversee the management, optimization and cost efficiency of the technical infrastructure, including cloud platforms, databases, and data warehouses.
• Implement best practices for software development, CI/CD, monitoring, and maintenance.
• Collaborate with DevOps and Security teams to ensure system reliability, performance, and security.
