Overview
This role supports the Enterprise Facilities Management team by administering the CMMS platform, maintaining asset data accuracy, and coordinating planned maintenance schedules across the portfolio. It ensures maintenance programs align with lease obligations, compliance standards, and field-level operational needs.
Location:
This role is hybrid out of Ferguson's corporate offices in Newport News, VA, according to company policy. Consideration will be given to remote work fo the ideal candidate.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a high-level subject matter authority in a specialized area of Facilities Management, providing strategic insight, sophisticated analysis and technical expertise to enhance operational efficiency.
- Coordinate and optimize the Planned Maintenance (PM) module and Asset Database within the CMMS platform to ensure data integrity and efficient scheduling.
- Partner with Regional Facilities Managers to support multi-site maintenance planning, vendor RFPs, and rollout of national PM programs.
- Align planned maintenance programs with lease obligations, compliance requirements, and manufacturer recommendations.
- Support the integration of asset lifecycle data into capital planning and maintenance risk mitigation strategies.
- Provide documentation and training to field teams to ensure consistent data entry, tagging standards, and CMMS usage.
- Support corporate initiatives through data-driven decision-making, process optimization and vendor performance management.
- Monitor and handle budgets, capital planning, financial reports, vendor contracts, expenditures, and purchase orders related to facility operations, ensuring cost control and alignment with company objectives.
- Prepare and deliver consolidated reports, including key performance indicators and periodic reviews of all facility activities, to support strategic decision-making and ensure alignment with goals.
- Act as a trusted advisor to internal partners, including executives and cross-functional teams, by providing strategic recommendations and insight into Facilities Management standard methodologies.
- Be responsible for vendor management, including reviewing contracts, ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) are met, and verifying the accuracy of completed work and proposals.
- Ensure consistent and high-quality delivery of facility services, including maintenance, operational support, safety, and compliance.
- Maintain strict adherence to company compliance standards, as well as Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies and procedures.
- Leverage data and analytics to enhance service delivery, equipment reliability, and operational performance.
- Identify and implement standard processes for cost reduction, operational improvement, and long-term facility planning.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by leadership.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in facilities management, business management, technical facilities, or a similar field preferred.
- Experience managing/supporting multi-location industrial or retail portfolios with a focus on operational improvement.
- Ability to travel up to 20% of the time.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional ability in communication, organizing, group problem solving, teamwork, relationship building and time management.
- Ability to engage optimally with collaborators at all levels, internal and external, including the Executive Leadership Team, and act as a strategic advisor.
- Perform with a strong sense of urgency, with high expectations, around driving costs from the company P&L and best preparing Ferguson for future growth.
- 5+ years’ relevant experience preferably within Real Estate and Facilities at a corporate level.
