THE JOB: 

As a Cage Cashier at New York New York, you will manage monetary transactions and exchanges with guests, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.  Your role is pivotal in shaping the guest experience through your warm and welcoming demeanor.  By attentively understanding each guest's unique needs and stories, you will create WOW experiences that extend well beyond their stay with us.

THE STARTING PAY RATE:  $20.25 / Per Hour

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Handle a variety of entry-level transactions, including chip bank, poker, cage credit, and employee bank/window transactions
• Manage functions within marker/IOU banks, cash banks, main banks, and High Limit Slot or High Limit Table (Baccarat) cages; may also service patron Kiosk/TRU units and employee Recycler/JetSafe units
• Cash all types of checks for patrons in accordance with guidelines; redeem chips/tokens, TITO (ticket in/ticket out) tickets, and Race and Sports tickets for patrons
• Conduct Marker and Front Money transactions on patron accounts
• Redeem acceptable forms of foreign currencies
• Secure and document all transactions involving company assets; accurately record all checks cashed in the designated computer system
• Complete electronic and manual transaction logs as required
• Balance the bank at the end of each shift
• Assist patrons with general inquiries as needed
• Issue or surrender safety deposit boxes

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• One (1) year of prior relevant high-volume cash handling experience
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Nevada State Gaming Registration
• High school diploma, GED or educational equivalent
• Must be able to work various shifts, including weekends and all holidays
• Proficiency in fundamental mathematical skills such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and money handling
• Has impeccable integrity and the ability to balance a bank without assistance (identifying errors when out of balance)
• Working knowledge of 10-key adding machine, currency counter and cash advance machine
• Basic knowledge of computer software to include Outlook, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as office equipment, i.e. telephone, copier, fax machine
• Detail-oriented and has the ability to multi-task in a fast paced, team environment
• Capable of standing and walking for a majority of the shift
• Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with all stakeholders
• Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal forms
