The Maintenance Technician I is responsible for basic maintenance tasks in addition to janitorial duties, grounds work, and vehicle maintenance as needed.

The Meadows includes 94 independent and assisted living rental apartment homes, plus 14 residences for seniors needing memory care services. Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday 9a-5:30p. 32 hours per week. On Call rotation every 3rd week.
Pay: The targeted pay range for this job is $21.00 - $26.00 per hour. Ecumen considers a variety of factors when determining new hire pay including experience, qualifications, and, when applicable, certifications, licenses, and education.

Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Performs basic plumbing, electrical, and mechanical repairs.
- Handles janitorial, floor care, and routine cleaning tasks.
- Completes minor carpentry, painting, and drywall work.
- Operates and maintains building systems and equipment.
- Records maintenance data in tracking software.
- Maintains grounds and performs light vehicle maintenance.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Driving Requirements: Local Travel and Driver’s License Required
Minimum Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One year of janitorial/maintenance experience
- Valid Drivers License, proof of insurance and satisfactory motor vehicle record
- Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats
- Ability to follow all safety rules, regulations, policies and procedures of the facility including but not limited to: Globally Harmonized System (GHS), Vulnerable Adult and Abuse Policy, HIPAA, Resident’s Bill of Rights, Universal Precaution, AWAIR, OSHA, Right to know, SDS, ADA, HUD Policy and Procedures, Fair Housing laws and regulations
Preferred Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in related field
- Previous experience working with seniors
