Using your in-depth knowledge of best practices and legislative requirements, you’ll design and implement FCC’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) strategy.

You’ll ensure that FCC is taking action to build a representative workforce that reflects the diversity of the communities where we live and work, fostering a workplace that’s welcoming, equitable and inclusive for all.

This position is designated bilingual (English and French), and the successful candidate must be able to communicate in both of Canada’s official languages.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead the development and execution of FCC’s DEI action plan
  • Foster strong collaboration across FCC and with external partners
  • Manage internal and external stakeholder reporting
  • Ensure FCC is compliant with legislative, internal governance and stakeholder communication needs
  • Lead the DEI team to ensure delivery and implementation of FCC’s DEI corporate strategy across the organization
  • Assess needs and identify actions to mature FCC’s DEI and accessibility impact

What you’ll need:

  • A bachelor’s degree in human resources, social sciences or public administration and at least 10 years of related experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • In-depth understanding of the Employment Equity Act, Accessible Canada Act and other related legislation and best practices
  • Experience embedding ESG-related strategies in organizations
  • A DEI-practitioner certification from an accredited post-secondary institution or relevant organization (for example, CCDI), or other formal DEI training
  • Proven ability to develop and execute evidence-based action plans that deliver meaningful results for organizations and people
  • Experience managing projects in cross-functional teams
  • Experience working in a financial institution or similar organization is a strong asset
