Job Description Summary

Maintenance Mechanic is a multi-trade technician that works with a team of mechanics to maintain campus buildings and ensure the proper maintenance of all aspects of our operations. The position must have a vocational degree in one of the electrical or HVAC trade with multiple years of field experience. Position located at New Bolton Center in Kennett Sq., no public transportation available.

Job Description

 Maintenance Mechanic is a multi-trade technician that works with a team of mechanics to maintain campus buildings and ensure the proper maintenance of all aspects of our operations.  The position must have a vocational degree in one of the electrical or HVAC trade with multiple years of field experience.  Duties include: inspections, installation, repair maintain and monitor building equipment with a working knowledge of hvac systems, electrical systems up to 480 volts and plumbing equipment.  Successful candidates must have experience inspecting, installing, repairing, maintaining and wiring any electrical apparatus or electrical device and circuit of any voltage up to 480 volts.  Operates switch gear up to 13,200 volts.  Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements on motors, pumps, compressors, controls and building automation systems.  Minimum three years of experience in the field including ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings, trouble-shooting motors, motor starters and motor controls up to 100 horsepower.  Familiarity with HVAC systems, variable frequuency drives and electronic circuitry.  Experience with high voltage switchgear operation and systems.  Preferred candidates will have professional licenses and certifications.  The schedule is primarily Monday through Friday however it will require some weekend work on a rotational basis and must be part of the department on
