ELI T&I AI Senior Specialist

<p><b>Job Description:</b></p><p>Within the <b>Technology &amp; Innovation (T&amp;I) Area</b>, we are looking for a <b>Mid-Senior Data Scientist</b> to join our <b>AI Team</b>, which focuses on <b>applied research for autonomy-related products and industrial processes</b>.</p><p></p><p><b>The selected candidate will be responsible for the following activities:</b></p><ul><li><p>Leading the design, development, and implementation of models and products (computer vision is a plus).</p></li><li><p>Guiding and mentoring a team of junior data scientists through regular coaching, code reviews, and project supervision (git is mandatory).</p></li><li><p>Applying deep learning models for perception mainly (optimize, &amp; fine tuning are mandatory , deploy on edge is a plus)</p></li><li><p>Collaborating with cross-functional teams (Product, Digital Transformation, IT, Engineering) to ensure integration and deployment of AI solutions.</p></li><li><p>Ensuring model scalability and robustness across both cloud and edge environments.</p></li><li><p>Keeping up-to-date with the latest AI/ML advancements and contributing to the team’s continuous innovation efforts.</p></li></ul><p><b>REQUIREMENTS:</b></p><p><b>Education:</b></p><ul><li><p>Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Applied Mathematics, or related fields.</p></li><li><p><span>Aerospace/Aeronautics</span> Degree with experience in AI is accepted</p></li></ul><p><b>Seniority Level:</b></p><ul><li><p>Senior (5–10 years of experience)</p></li><li><p>PhD counts as experience (and is a plus)</p></li></ul><p><b>Technical Skills and Knowledge:</b></p><ul><li><p>Strong experience in computer vision (segmentation, object detection, tracking).</p></li><li><p>Solid background in time series modeling is a plus</p></li><li><p>Proven ability to deploy ML models on cloud and/or edge computing platforms.</p></li><li><p>Proficiency in Python and major ML libraries (PyTorch, scikit-learn, etc.).</p></li><li><p>Familiarity with MLOps practices and tools for scalable deployment (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.).</p></li><li><p>Experience with collaborative development and version control tools (e.g., Git). - mandatory</p></li><li><p>Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Language:</b></p><p>English C1 mandatory</p><p></p><p><b>Soft Skills:</b><br/>We are looking for a proactive and flexible team member with strong problem-solving abilities and a collaborative mindset.
