Senior System Engineer* Analytic Device Integration 

 

Within BioNTech we develop breakthrough therapies in the field of oncology as well as other diseases. For this new, exciting world of drug discovery, computerized systems data is a crucial aspect. To enable data exchange between our laboratory instrumentation and global data platforms we are implementing a Scientific Data Management System.

 

Your main responsibilities are:

• Takeover system ownership for a new global SDMS
• Lead the vendor selection for the new system Drive the implementation and continuous improvement of the global SDMS according to GMP, to meet the requirements of quality control but also R&D and clinical laboratories
• Coordination of technical task in course of the development as well in the later operation of the system
• Act as interface between business departments and IT as well as vendors
• Close and targeted cooperation with business units to develop a digitalization strategy to contribute to the overall business success
• Technical design of the system and its interfaces to other systems and analytic devices
• Setup of the operations framework for the system including the supporting processes (e.g., master data management, technical support)

 

 

What you have to offer:

• Bachelors’s degree in life science or computer science or with at least 5 years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical industry or comparable job history
• Experience in the implementation and operation of Laboratory/Scientific Data Management Systems
• Experience with the integration of analytical devices into device integration platforms, scientific data hubs or scientific data integration platforms
• Experience with analytic instrument software and respective interfaces
• Market knowledge in the field of Laboratory/Scientific Data Management Systems
• Experienced in integrating laboratory instruments and the application of data format standards (e.g., AnIML, ADF (Allotrope), UDM etc.)
• Knowledge in the field of data preservation
• Strong communication and management skills
• Structured and accurate way of working, hands-on mentality
