Laborers must have physical strength, endurance and must also be able to concentrate on their tasks. Assist Foreman and skilled craft workers in performing their assigned duties under close supervision</p> <p><strong>Typical Duties:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Digging, spreading and leveling dirt, sand and gravel using a pick shovel or rake</li> <li>Installs, removes, and maintains a variety of erosion control products and liner. Clearing seditment</li> <li>Lift, carry and hold construction materials, tools and supplies</li> <li>Clean tools, equipment, material in work area</li> <li>Mix, pour and spread concrete, asphalt, gravel and other materials using hand tools</li> <li>Positioning, cutting and fusing pipe&nbsp;</li> <li>Connecting various pipe pieces by glue, heat, or slip jointing</li> <li>Maintaining depth by checking the laser beam or grade stakes and communicating with the operator&nbsp;</li> <li>Cementing around pipes and inlets&nbsp;</li> <li>Communicating with the operator about the alignment of the pipe by using hand signals to ensure the proper depth&nbsp;</li> <li>Inspecting the pipe fittings to ensure it is defect free and clean</li> <li>Perform a variety of machine tasks such as tapping soil, jackhammering and assisting in the fusing of pipe.</li> <li>Work harmoniously, co-operatively and courteously with others at all times</li> <li>Perform miscellaneous other duties and responsibilities as required</li> <li>Loads, transports and unloads tools, equipment and supplies.</li> <li>Operates manual material handling equipment such as hand jacks and wheeled carts</li> <li>Assists in lifting<strong>,&nbsp;</strong>positioning and securing of materials and work pieces.</li> <li>Perform minor maintenance and cleaning activities with tools and equipment.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Job Requirements</strong></p> &l
