Durability Testing Field Technician

We are seeking a detail-oriented Durability Testing Field Technician to perform field testing of our products under real-world conditions. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for hands-on testing and data collection. This is a 3.5 month contract to hire position.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct durability tests on products in various outdoor environments, adhering to test protocols and safety guidelines.
• Operate testing equipment and instrumentation to measure performance metrics and collect data accurately.
• Document test procedures, observations, and test results in detailed reports.
• Analyze test data using software tools or spreadsheets to identify trends, anomalies, and potential issues.
• Prepare comprehensive test reports summarizing findings, conclusions, and recommendations for further action or improvement.
• Present findings to engineering teams and stakeholders, offering insights for product development and enhancement.
• Maintain and calibrate testing equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability of test results.
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform basic repairs as needed.
• Follow preventive maintenance schedules to prolong equipment lifespan and minimize downtime.
• Adhere to safety protocols and procedures during testing activities to ensure a safe working environment.
• Maintain compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies related to durability testing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineers, designers, and project managers to understand testing requirements and objectives.
• Communicate test plans, progress updates, and any deviations from expected results effectively.
• Provide technical support and expertise to resolve testing-related issues and challenges.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret test data and generate meaningful insights.
• Basic computer skills.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
• Willingness to work in extreme temperatures.
• Must be able to lift 25lbs.
• Must be able to work well with others.
