We are looking for college intern who will be passionate to work for Envoy Air, the largest regional airline in the American Airlines Group (AAG) of carriers. This is an exciting opportunity where you will have the unique opportunity to work with a team of professionals to share your creative ideas to continue to build the Envoy brand, support recruiting efforts and translate complex concepts into easy to understand materials for our different audiences.  Envoy operates Embraer 175 and 170 aircraft. The regional airline has expanded its network outside of the U.S. to international destinations in Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean.

 

Our paid 11-week summer internship will not only enhance your studies, but also provide an educational experience you can’t find in the classroom. As an intern, you will learn real world skills while building a professional network of future peers. You will learn the ins and outs of how your team impacts the business day to day and gain an understanding of the commercial aviation business.

 

This position will be based in the Los Angeles metroplex and the intern will report to our office located at Los Angeles International (LAX) Airport.

 

Pay rate: $25 / hr

Responsibilities

In this role, you will work closely with our administration team to identify, streamline, and automate key processes, enhancing overall efficiency. You’ll have the opportunity to apply your technical and analytical skills while gaining valuable hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze existing administrative and workforce processes to identify areas for improvement and automation. 
  • Develop, test, and implement automated solutions using tools such as Microsoft Power Automate, Excel (advanced formulas/macros), SharePoint, and Power BI. 
  • Gather requirements and propose process optimization strategies to improve efficiency and accuracy. 
  • Assist in creating dashboards and reports that support data-driven decision making. 
  • Maintain clear documentation of process changes, workflows, and automation standards. 
  • Train and support team members in adopting new automated tools and processes. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation and integration of new tools. 
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities, supporting both short-term efficiencies and long-term scalability. 

 

Typical job duties include:

  • Analyze current administrative workflows to identify opportunities for automation. 
  • Develop, test, and implement automation solutions using tools like Excel Macros or Microsoft Power Automate. 
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation of automated processes and workflows. 
  • Train and support team members in transitioning to automated systems. 
  • Assist in generating automated reports and ensure data accuracy. 
  • Collaborate with the team to identify continuous improvement opportunities for process optimization. 

Qualifications

The ideal candidate must be able to work in a team environment and the ability to prioritize work and projects to meet deadlines and objectives. Must be able to work with minimal supervision, report to work regularly and on-time and be self-motivated.

 

Position Requirements:

  • Minimum age of 18 
  • Enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in Business Administration, Data Analytics, Industrial Engineering, Human Resources, Computer Science, or a related field. 
  • Must be classified as a Junior, Senior, or Graduate student upon start of internship. 
  • 3.0 minimum Grade Point Average 
  • Must be located in the Greater Los Angeles metroplex. 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills  
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm 
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow 
  • Working proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook  
  • Must demonstrate the highest degree of integrity as work involves access to confidential data 
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S for any employer without sponsorship 
  • Must pass a criminal background check and drug screen 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with AI tools to support automation, reporting, or analysis. 
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, dynamic formulas, macros). 
  • Familiarity with Power BI, SharePoint, and Power Automate.
