About the Position

The Production Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the production department for multiple stores. Responsible for moving donations from multiple Attended Donation Centers (ADCs) and the backroom to the retail stores while maximizing retail dollars and keeping the production department efficient. The Production Manager leads and trains their team to ensure workplace safety and proper pricing structures for merchandised goods and ensures that daily production goals for donated items are met and recorded accurately.

Pay Rate: $70,000-75,000/year DOE

Essential Functions and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice.
• Responsible for daily departmental production, reviewing performance and production needs with the ASM of Production, Supervisors and the Store Managers on a regular basis.
• Meet or exceed weekly goals in pricing, sell through and item count for all stores aligned with.
• Implement and track ongoing training of production employees concerning quality, pricing, and merchandising criteria.
• Ensure that donated goods are processed appropriately from the time received.
• Audit quality decisions of donations moving to the store and to salvage.
• Hire, train, develop and supervise the ASM of Production, Production Supervisors, and production and Material Handing employees providing ongoing performance feedback and necessary discipline.
• Evaluate the ASM of Production Supervisors, prepare and submit annual reviews in a timely manner.
• Responsible for building security: this includes unlocking and locking the building. Active participation in other security practices.
• Responsible for inventory and ordering production supplies.
• Uphold safe work practices in support of a safety culture through awareness and observation; train and educate employees of safety requirements; reports any potential hazards or accidents.
• Complete and submit safety paperwork in a timely manner.
• Partner with all departments of Seattle Goodwill.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Goodwill’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; monitoring performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; and addressing complaints and resolving problems. Partner with People Relations as needed and appropriate.
