Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and organized Warehouse OPS Manager to oversee the operations of our warehouse facilities. The Warehouse OPS Manager will be responsible for managing inventory, ensuring efficient workflows, implementing processes, and maintaining a safe and organized environment. This role is critical in supporting our production teams and ensuring timely and accurate delivery of materials to job sites.
Key Responsibilities:
Warehouse Operations:
- Oversee all aspects of daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and distributing materials.
- Ensure inventory is accurately tracked and updated in the warehouse management system.
- Develop and maintain efficient workflows to optimize space utilization and material handling.
Team Management:
- Train, and supervise warehouse staff, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and teamwork.
- Set performance goals and conduct regular performance evaluations for warehouse team members.
- Provide coaching and support to ensure continuous improvement and professional growth.
Inventory Control:
- Implement and manage inventory control procedures to minimize errors, losses, and inefficiencies.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits to maintain accurate stock levels.
- Coordinate with the procurement and production teams to ensure adequate inventory for ongoing projects.
Safety & Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies, conducting regular safety audits and training sessions.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free warehouse environment.
- Monitor the condition of equipment and schedule necessary repairs or replacements.
Logistics & Coordination:
- Oversee the scheduling and dispatching of materials to job sites, ensuring timely delivery.
- Collaborate with the production and project management teams to address any material shortages or delays.
- Manage relationships with vendors, freight carriers, and delivery services to ensure efficient logistics.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Ops Manager or in a similar role, preferably in the home remodeling or construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems and basic computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite).
- Commitment to workplace safety and a track record of maintaining compliance with safety regulations.
- Ability to lift and move materials as needed, with a focus on maintaining proper ergonomics and safety standards.
