Monetization Infra and Ranking Production Engineering's mission is to champion reliability, scalability, and security that enables us to make every impression meaningful and trustworthy.
Our teams focus on the infrastructure, platforms and tooling needed for both finding and delivering highly engaging Ads.
Responsibilities
Drive reliability and capacity foundation efforts for Monetization Infra PE
* As the organization lead, you will be coaching the team, partnering across the broader organization, and driving large initiatives in bleeding edge problem spaces
* Champion reliability, scalability, performance and security improvements for our core products and services
* Enable people and businesses to connect in a positive and reliable way by building robust infrastructure and services across our platform and products
* Measure and improve efficiency and effectiveness of processes that are working well and build the next level of improvements
* Set standards for deployments at scale, infrastructure reliability and scalability
* Team with all technical functions in the company ensuring that all organizations are in sync
* Build and lead an organization with customer focus, world class quality, effective communication, decisive, fast moving solutions, quick and constructive resolutions of conflicts, and a “no barriers” mentality
Qualifications
10+ years of direct management experience
* BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline or equivalent experience
* Experience with Linux/Unix internals and systems services like DNS, DHCP, TFTP, iptables, smtp, etc
* Experience with networking protocols such as TCP, UDP and HTTP
* Experience implementing instrumentation and monitoring solutions
* Experience running systems at scale leveraging web scale technologies like: PHP, Nginx, Squid, memcached, Apache, Python, MySQL, Redis, Hadoop, and HBASE Experience with “on prem” HW and not solely Public Cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc)
* Experience with Ads delivery technology
