Senior Accountant

JELD-WEN is currently seeking a Senior Accountant to join our growing team. 

 

THE ROLE  

As a valued member of the ​Finance​ team, the ​Senior Accountant​ performs accounting and finance functions for assigned business units or locations in North America. The position will report to a Controller and will be responsible for performing monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities and meeting respective deadlines and should possess solid communication, technology, organizational and analytical skills. 

 

This position will be located in ​Klamath Falls, Oregon or Charlotte North Carolina​ and reports to the Door Controller.​ 

 

Principle Duties and Responsibilities 

• Perform the monthly closing process for several locations in conjunction with the central accounting functions. Responsibilities include running reports, preparing journal entries, preparing accruals, account reconciliations, asset additions and transfers, cash flow entries. Reconcile accounts monthly to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance. 

• Extract, review, analyze and compile information from a variety of financial and non-financial systems. 

• Ensure internal policies and controls are complied with including data integrity, asset protection, segregation of duties, budgeting, financial reporting, information systems and adherence to corporate policies (GAAP, SOX compliance, etc.) 

• Prepare documentation as needed for Internal and External Auditors 

• Analyze financial statements for discrepancies and alert the controller if necessary. 

• Perform other assigned duties as may be required in meeting company objectives. 

 

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities 

• Experience with SAP and One stream a plus. 

• Ability to effectively communicate and interface with all levels throughout the company. 

• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage to routine and work remotely without supervision. 

• Comprehensive excel skills. 

 

Education and Experience 

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience / education  

• CPA or CPA eligible strongly preferred but not required. 

• Experience in a manufacturing or product environment company
