Position Summary...

Walmart’s Transportation Command Center is a critical component of our supply chain and logistics operation. We manage the movement of goods and products throughout the entire supply chain, from vendors to distribution centers, and from there to stores and other locations, ensuring timely and efficient deliveries
As a Logistics Load Manager within this critical department, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring timely and efficient deliveries, optimizing routes, and supporting disaster relief and emergency response efforts. By leveraging advanced analytics and real-time data, we optimize driver productivity, reduce costs, and provide exceptional service to our customers while reducing our carbon footprint. Shift: Varied (must be willing to work any shift including days, nights, and weekends)
What you’ll do:
• Load & Route Optimization: Plan and optimize loads and capacity to maximize truck utilization, reduce costs, minimize freight handling, and enhance overall transportation efficiency.
• Effective Communication: Act as a point of contact for drivers and field transportation offices, ensure seamless collaboration and resolution of any issues.
• Critical Problem-Solving: Monitor and analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement in load planning and routing. Develop and implement strategic solutions to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and resolve operational issues. This includes addressing challenges such as weather constraints and traffic congestion in key markets. Utilize critical thinking to assess situations and make informed decisions that maximize efficiencies and ensure timely deliveries.
• Adaptability: Adjust to changing business needs and priorities, seamlessly pivoting from one task to another. Adapt plans to accommodate fluctuations in demand, supply chain disruptions, and other unforeseen challenges in load planning and logistics operations.
• Cross-Department Collaboration: Works collaboratively with cross-functional teams to develop processes and strategies that help meet business goals.
• Compliance: Ensure all activities are conducted in compliance with Walmart’s policies, guidelines, and relevant laws and regulations.
