<p><br/></p><p><strong></strong><strong>Working hours: </strong>35 hours per week, Monday to Friday</p><p> <strong>Duration: </strong>Permanent <strong><br/></strong></p><p><strong>Location: </strong>Dublin</p><p><strong>Job Ref: </strong>203869<strong><br/></strong></p><h4>About the role<br/> </h4><p><strong>Ecclesiastical Insurance Ireland</strong>, who are proudly part of <strong>Benefact Group</strong> are looking for a <strong>Risk Surveyor </strong>to join the team.</p><p>Joining our rapidly expanding and innovative Group presents a fantastic opportunity to develop your career and become an integral part of an inclusive, purpose-led organisation.</p><p> <br/></p><h4>Key responsibilities</h4><ul> <li>Proactively build positive internal and external relationships to facilitate the delivery of exceptional service as part of Ecclesiastical’s Risk Management team<br/></li> <li>Work collaboratively with Business Development, Claims, Underwriting and the wider business to support the free exchange of technical risk information and achievement of business initiatives/objectives</li> <li>Undertake desktop and on-site valuation and/or risk management survey assessments in line with agreed survey authorities </li> <li>Produce suitable valuation, risk survey and risk improvement reports in accordance with published guidelines, to a professional standard and delivered in a timely manner</li> <li>Plan, prioritise and manage individual workloads to enable efficient delivery to agreed service standards. </li> <li>Act as lead Surveyor on Key Accounts delivering the additional services prescribed.</li> <li>Promote/support the Ecclesiastical Risk proposition through attendance at/delivery of ‘Risk’ workshops/seminars to brokers, customers and sector bodies, as required by the business </li> <li>Act on audit results and agreed actions plans to improve own performance and fulfil personal potential</li> <li>Take responsibility for building own technical knowledge and professional expertise through development and implementation of a meaningful PDP which supports self- development and benefits the wider survey team</li> <li>Proactively contribute risk insight to internal and external events, communications and publications</li> <li>Proactively share knowledge, expertise, loss and risk insight with colleagues across the organisation, including delivery of training on risk management </li> <li>Identify and lead opportunities to innovate and improve current practices and processes</li> <li>Undertake project work as required</li> </ul><h4>Knowledge, skills and experience<br/> </h4><ul> <li> Experience in fire (and non-fire perils), theft, business interruption and liability insurance risk surveys </li> <li>ACII or firm commitment to achieve this within an agreed period (MDI qualification as a minimum) + relevant Health &amp; Safety qualification or firm commitment to achieve this within an agreed period </li> <li>Good appreciation of buildings architecture, design, construction and fire detection, protection and suppression systems</li> <li>Excellent technical underwriting knowledge or extensive property damage claims handling/loss adjusting experience</li> <li>Quantity Surveying qualification desirable</li> <li> Ability to accurately calculate a building (and where appropriate contents) valuation/sum insured on a reinstatement and/or restoration basis, and all necessary maximum loss scenarios is desirable; valuation training will be provided </li> <li> Can analyse an organisation/location and identify resilience or vulnerabilities in respect of insured perils </li> <li> Organisational and problem solving capabilities and willingness to work outside own comfort zone to support wider business and personal development opportunities</li> <li> Strong verbal and written communication skills</li> <li> Confident and influential communicator at all levels</li> <li>Ability to learn and apply learning to benefit own on the job contribution</li> <li>A clear appreciation of the need for exceptional standards of customer experience and evidence of a strong commitment to delivering improved standards</li> <li>Self-starter, able to manage own workload and multiple priorities </li> <li>Keen, enthusiastic and energetic </li> <li>Full clean driving licence </li> </ul><h4>What we offer</h4><ul> <li>A competitive salary - let's discuss it<br/> </li> <li>Car allowance</li> <li>Hybrid working <br/> </li> <li>Defined Contribution Personal Pension - up to 12% employer contribution<br/> </li> <li>Annual Bonus scheme up to 24%<br/> </li> <li>25 days annual leave plus public holidays <br/> </li> <li>A holiday buy and sell scheme <br/> </li> <li>€250 annual personal grant to a charity of your choice</li> <li>An array of health and wellbeing benefits, including private medical insurance, income protection and life assurance and Employee Assistance Programme <br/> </li> <li>Support for your pers
