Senior Product Designer

Your role

Fastned aims to accelerate the transition towards sustainable mobility by giving freedom to electric drivers. As a Senior Product Designer you are responsible for crafting experiences that are simple, drive engagement and deliver WOW to our users on every touchpoint. The goal is to build positive experiences, create stories that stick, build loyalty, while contributing to overall business success.

In this role you will lead the design of Fastned in-house developed operational products, for your users in the Network, Field and Customer Operations teams. Through these products, we make sure every customer has a great and reliable charging experience at our stations. You will be accountable for the usability of the solutions delivered. The Senior Product Designer role is part of the UX team, and works as a member of a cross-functional Agile scrum team.

Your overall responsibilities include

• Leading design on the Operator area, in scope of our ‘Revolt Admin’ operations control panel

• Leading user research, solution testing, and validation, leveraging all tools in your designer toolbox; your designs are the painkillers and innovative solutions to real users' problems to solve

• Leading and facilitating design sprints and workshops with your team and stakeholders

• Strong storytelling and presentation skills to communicate insights clearly and effectively

• Leading design system development in close liaison with fellow creatives on UX and brand

• Inspire and advocate for user-first thinking, sharing & challenging user insights across the board

• Improving the product design life cycle and embedding best practices in our workflows

• Contributing to and facilitating design thinking and practice within your team

Requirements

You consider every failed experiment as a lesson learned, while crafting experiences that matter. Additionally, you tick the following boxes:

• At least 5 years of experience as a digital Product Designer or similar role in a scrum team.

• Proven expertise in product design, user research, solution validation, and design advocacy.

• Proficient in all phases of the product lifecycle, from discovery to delivery.

• Strong focus on accessibility (A11Y).

• Experience in creating and contributing to design systems.

• A portfolio showcasing diverse digital platform-based products, ideally within mobility or EV industries.

• Skilled in leading design sprints and workshops for collaborative solution design.

• A problem solver with a customer-centered mindset and strong critical thinking.

• Proficiency with design tools like Figma and Miro.

• Passionate about the energy transition and Fastned’s mission.
