Junior Software Engineer (m/f/d)

The Emerson Test & Measurement Transportation Business Unit Systems R&D team has an opening for a Junior Software Engineer (m/f/d). In this role, you will work in the design and development of systems from concept to release, contributing as a member of the development team while learning about the transportation domain and building your skills. In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• Develop and validate system software features that fulfill customer requirements
• Interact with the team in support of designing and deploying new systems and features
• Adhere to development processes and best practices
• Apply knowledge of the NI platform to the design and implementation of components and features

You become an early adopter. You dig for root causes of a problem and look for patterns. You convert ideas into actions and produce results with new initiatives.

 

For This Role, You Will Need:

• BS degree or higher in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
• Understanding of electrical engineering, electronics & computer architectures
• Demonstrated proficiency using high-level programming languages (LabVIEW, C++, FPGA)
• Ability to identify and solve system engineering problems
• Strong sense of ownership
• English & Hungarian Language competency and effective oral and written communication skills
   

 

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

• Experience in software development, and systems development
• In-depth technical knowledge of NI products and platforms
• Understanding of Agile methodologies
• Experience working with integrated hardware and software systems
• Demonstrated experience and understanding of the transportation industry
• Excellence in engineering practices and analytical problem-solving skills
