As the leader and Revenue Cycle Management expert for the entire organization, the Director of Revenue Cycle Management is responsible for leading the strategy and execution for BDD’s RCM function, and partnering with executive, finance, operations, and clinical leadership to build and manage a best-in-class RCM department.


RESPONSIBILITES

  • Work with leadership to develop the end-to-end RCM strategic plan touching on all key elements of RCM including patient scheduling as it impacts RCM; insurance verification; collections on day of service; patient payment and posting; insurance claims submissions, denials, re-submissions and insurance payment posting; patient statement distribution; collecting past due/outstanding balances; UCR review and maintenance; all other key elements of RCM.
  • Implement and rollout the RCM strategic plan.
  • Build out, grow, and manage the RCM function to support the initial and dynamic requirements of the RCM strategic plan.
  • Identify the key metrics that define RCM success and create the dashboards/reporting tools to measure them and the productivity of the RCM team.
  • Ensure compliance is always maintained with all federal, state and local regulatory agencies.
  • Manage and oversee the credentialing function for the company.
  • Create and maintain strong relationships with payors to ensure that claims are properly paid and adjudicated, and to maximize the rates available to BDD as it continues to grow.
  • Monitor critical related data for extensive analysis and report generation.
  • Prepare for and coordinate audits in compliance with existing insurance contracts.
  • Manage and supervise all current and future RCM and Credentialing employees, which includes work allocation, training, promotion, enforcement of internal procedures and controls, and problem resolution; evaluating performance and making recommendations for personnel actions; and motivating RCM employees to achieve peak productivity and performance as it relates to RCM.
  • Makes presentations to and interacts with various internal and external customers on issues pertinent to RCM.
  • Expeditiously responds to appropriate RCM requests.
  • Tracks and logs status on all assigned RCM projects.
  • Builds strong and positive relationships and communication bridges between the RCM team, practice teams, support team members, and payors.
  • Remains current with all related RCM trends, regulatory requirements, and business strategies related to dentistry.
  • Supports and executes all required RCM functions for onboarding of all new affiliations.

Requirements

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 3+ years of RCM as the lead manager/director of the RCM department
  • Ability to process and to format and generate reports.
  • Ability to supervise and train employees, to include organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
  • Skilled in developing policy and procedure documentation.
  • Database management skills.
  • Employee development and performance management skills.
  • Knowledge of related accreditation and certification requirements.
  • Knowledge of dental RCM standards and requirements.
