POSITION SPECIFICS
Penn State Schuylkill is seeking a full-time Clinical Lecturer for the Radiological Sciences Program. The successful candidate will be joining a program that maintains strong clinical partnerships and student relationships and facilitates high levels of student success; the 5-year average ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) exam pass rate is 97% on first attempt and the 5-year average job placement rate is 100%.
Specific responsibilities will include
Supervising students daily during their clinical experience while at the Penn State Health Hershey Medical Center
Performing competencies, labs, and activities with students
Evaluating students
Providing guidance
Implementing best practices for students in successfully completing their semester clinical objectives
Participating in program assessment
Communicating and collaborating with all stakeholders
Additional responsibilities that require travel to the Schuylkill campus include participation in program meetings and collaboration with faculty performing labs during the first six weeks of the Fall semester.
Applicants must possess a Bachelors degree or higher plus 3 years related experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Additional ARRT certification is required as well as current registration in Radiography. Preference will be given to candidates that have experience in evaluation of students and familiarity with the JRCERT (Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology) Standards.
