The University of Iowa Health Care is seeking a 70% Medical Assistant II to work in our Occupational Health Clinics. Our Occupational Health Medical Assistants play a vital role in supporting the well‑being of University of Iowa Health Care employees and campus partners. In this position, you will work directly with a population of faculty, staff, and students, helping ensure that workplace health standards are met, preventive services are delivered, and individuals receive appropriate follow‑up care. Duties to include:
Staff will support our Urgent Care Clinics and will float to multiple locations based on staffing need.
Performs phlebotomy.
Duties may involve the use of electronic word/data processing equipment and/or conventional office equipment.
Performs routine laboratory testing (urinalysis, blood tests, etc.) on clinical biological specimens such as blood and body fluids. Uses the Laboratory Information System to accession specimens. Performs, or may direct performance of, data entry, labeling and processing of laboratory specimens.
