Our Finance team plays a crucial role in ensuring strong financial performance and governance. We are responsible for managing relationships with our suppliers, investors, shareholders, financial institutions, and regulatory authorities.

To strengthen our accounting team, we are looking for a Senior Accountant. In this role, you will work closely with our Accounting Manager to contribute to the accuracy and reliability of our financial reporting and accounting processes.

 

Function

As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

• Performing and following up on monthly and annual closing activities for centrally managed Belgian companies (G/L accounting, payroll accounting, complex accounting) in collaboration with the Accounting Manager (BEGAAP and IFRS in a SAP environment).
• Ensuring the monthly calculation of specific IFRS adjustments, to be executed accurately and on time.
• Performing account reconciliations and quality controls to ensure the accuracy of figures.
• Contributing to the ICO reconciliation process.
• Preparing monthly/periodic reporting packages (BEGAAP and IFRS) under the supervision of the Management team.
• Supporting (internal and external) reporting activities.
• Preparing analytical evaluations of monthly figures to provide insights to local teams and controllers.
• Identifying opportunities to improve processes and internal controls and leading or monitoring the implementation of solutions.
• Contributing to digital/IT projects.
• Collaborating with auditors.
