Certified Pharmacy Technician

Certified pharmacy technician for hospital inpatient position.  Provides technical support to prepare sterile and non-sterile compounding, chemo admixture, packaging and labeling of meds, RFID checks for crash carts, distribution of medications to automated dispensing cabinets.  Delivers meds to patient care units.  Maintains appropriate  inventory and appropriately bills/credits for doses or returns.  Performs unit inspections where medications are stored. Registration as a pharmacy technician with KY board of pharmacy required.

One (1) year hospital pharmacy technician experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired. Sterile compounding experience is required with some experience in the handling of hazardous compounds being preferred.  Basic algebra skills required to perform pharmaceutical calculations.
