Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

As a TEM engineer on Sandisk’s failure analysis (FA) team, you will be responsible for operating the team’s dual-beam FIB and STEM/TEM tools. You will work closely with the rest of the FA team to prepare samples for cross-section or planar imaging and EDX analysis supporting our semiconductor research and development efforts. Key responsibilities include:

  • Perform high-resolution TEM imaging and analysis on a wide range of semiconductor materials and devices
  • Develop and optimize sample preparation techniques for various materials and structures
  • Conduct in-depth data analysis and interpretation of TEM results
  • Present findings to cross-functional teams and management
  • Collaborate with research and development teams to support ongoing projects and solve complex materials challenges
  • Stay current with the latest advancements in industry

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Materials Science, Physics, or a related field
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with dual-beam FIB tools and imaging with STEM/TEM tools
  • Experience in TEM sample preparation techniques for semiconductor materials

SKILLS:

  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
