GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:
An employee in this class is responsible for assisting with the overall supervision and management of the assigned Adult Day Services Program. As requested, performs related work.
DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THE CLASS:
Under the supervision of the Assistant Director, an employee in this class is a working supervisor who plans, supervises and participates in the operation of the day programs.
ILLUSTRATIVE EXAMPLES OF WORK:
· Assists with the recruitment, training, and evaluation of staff.
· Assists with monitoring quality of services and supervision of the program.
· Responsible for participating in program planning reviews for individuals as requested.
· Responsible for ensuring the appropriate implementation of goals and staff actions as indicated in Individual Habilitation Plans and Staff Action Plans.
· In conjunction with the program Leads, responsible for ensuring the appropriate implementation of daily activities.
· Responsible for ensuring the safety and well being of program individuals we support as well as ensuring the safeguarding of their rights.
·Ensures compliance with OPWDD regulations.
·Prepares reports and other informational materials as required.
·Reviews Medisked billing daily and rectifies errors.
·Maintains regular/ongoing communication with the Assistant Director regarding significant issues concerning individuals we support, staff and program.
· Provides cafeteria monitoring, bus duty monitoring and coverage of classrooms.
· Assists individuals we support who have toileting needs.
·Assists with transferring or lifting of individuals we support.
·Lifts and or transfers work materials and equipment.
·As required and with specialized training drives an Agency vehicle.
·Transports individuals we support using own or agency vehicle as needed.
·Universal precautions must be used at all times.
Requirements
Role Requirements: Bachelor's degree in a Human Services field and a minimum of one year of experience working with the developmentally disabled OR 5 years experience in an OPWDD setting.
·Working knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications
·Must be able to display a high level of professionalism and discretion and understand the sensitive nature of confidential employee information with superior emotional intelligence.
·Valid NYS Drivers License
SALARY 25.73 HOUR
