What will you do?

A day in the life of a Sr. Manager, Transformation Operations at Vans looks a little like this.

Reporting to the Chief Strategy & Transformation Officer, helps lead the development of Vans’ long-term growth strategy by monitoring the execution of the brand’s annual operating plan. Responsible for developing and executing strategic initiatives that drive the evolution and growth of the brand. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, project management, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure successful implementation of transformation projects.

Let’s break down that day-in-the-life a bit more.

·         Partner with brand leadership to activate brand strategies, including annual planning (V2MOM), by monitoring and tracking the execution of actions against established timelines

·         Builds the brand’s transformation roadmap, while project managing the milestones along the way

·         Establishes and integrates an operational calendar flow, looking at key moments across both Vans and our parent company, VF.

·         Manage global brand reporting to VF leadership, focusing on and tracking the execution of cross-functional reporting 

·         Lead, track, and support strategic cross-functional initiatives designed to drive sales growth, margin improvement or expense reduction that support the delivery of brand and business goals. 

·         Track and support strategic and financial-based projects initiated by senior management focused on issues impacting the business now and in the future.  Research complex issues and create solutions to drive company performance. 

What do you need to succeed?

Additionally, while formal education in a related field is great to have, we are most interested in your 8-10 years of experience and professional achievements. 

The foundation skills you will need in this position are:

·         High degree of communications skills and ability to influence senior leaders, inclusive of the global brand President

·         Ability to navigate ambiguous direction, and keep highly sensitive information confidential

·         Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or related field; MBA strongly preferred 

·         Demonstrated ability to develop and drive strategy and brand direction in a global context 

·         Excellent interpersonal and communication skills 

·         Highly driven, analytical and results oriented
