About the role

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provides day-to-day leadership and support regarding operational issues including staffing, scheduling, shipping-receiving, payroll and policy and procedure development.
  • Execute and model fireside MARKET core values (People First, Share Passion, Quality Standards, Embody Integrity, Act Sustainably).
  • Supervise personnel at all levels including work allocation, training, problem-solving and resolution, performance evaluation, and make recommendations for actions.
  • Assists in the preparation and execution of operational budgets for fireside MARKET and provides off – hour support as needed.
  • Ensure all store merchandise is stocked, displays are attractive, priced correctly and displayed in a safe manager.
  • Oversee and analyze the achievement of sales, gross margin, expenses, and net profit contribution objectives to the store.
  • Maintain execution of practices which fosters high motivation, high productivity and creates a customer service driven culture.
  • Promote the protection of company assets from internal and external theft, inaccurate record keeping and theft.
  • Monitor cash shortage/overage, inventory shrinkage and drive offs.
  • Assists in the selection of vendors and distributors that meet the needs and budgetary goals of the store.
  • Report and process all team member and/or guest accidents or incidents following the company’s procedure.
  • Implement monthly promotions, ensuring all advertising and signage is displayed properly at the correct times
  • Follow and enforce all established company policies and procedures in store operations
  • Ensure store petroleum and retail sales are compliant with all local, state, federal and tribal regulations.

Requirements for The Job:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, or related field preferred; will consider experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Minimum of five (5) years in retail leadership, including a minimum of 3 years in management capacity.
  • Experience and knowledge of the petroleum industry, including POS equipment and Cigarette and Tobacco federal/state compliance.
  • Proven experience in communication and interpersonal skills, collaboration, problem solving, and driving results.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Wisconsin Class A/B UST Certification.
  • Successfully pass a background check and pre-employment drug screening
  • Must be 21 years old, possess a valid driver's license and have the ability to successfully pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.

Work will be split between office functions and in a retail market environment. Shift length varies 8-to- 10-hour shifts. The flooring is cement, tile and textured flooring with florescent lighting. Environment is subject to wet floors, temperature extremes and loud noise.
