Position Description
** Hybrid Opportunity Available**
ENSCO, Inc. is looking for a Facility Security Officer (FSO) with practical experience as a Contractor Special Security Officer (CSSO). This position will be a full time position, The Facility Security Officer FSO/CSSO will provide onsite support for all security actions and serve as the Security liaison with US Government Department of Defense (DoD) and IC counterparts, prepare and review documentation, conduct security briefings and debriefings, monitor classified controlled areas, support site classified visits, off-site SCI meetings receive and prepare DD254 for subcontractors and perform periodic self-inspections. The FSO/CSSO will be expected to perform and delegate daily Personnel, Facility, IS and Operational tasks, and interface with Executive staff as needed.
Duties & Responsibilities include:
- Plan, initiate, manage, and be accountable for all aspects of the physical, COMSEC, Special Access Programs, training, classification management, operations and personnel security functions for the operating facility in support of both internal and external customers across multiple programs.
- Ensure compliance with NISPOM, ICDs, Federal security regulations and company security policies and procedures to ensure the efficient operation of the Security Program. Obtain rulings, interpretations, and acceptable deviations for compliance with regulations from government agencies.
- Prepare and maintain manuals outlining regulations and establish procedures for handling, storing, and keeping records for granting personnel and visitor's access to restricted records and materials.
- Comply with Communications Security (COMSEC) requirements for the receipt, custody, issue, safeguarding, accounting and destruction of COMSEC material and in full compliance with all Government policies, manuals, procedures and changes.
- Work with Contracts and Operations to ensure compliance with contract/subcontract security requirements
- Work closely with Defense Counter-Intelligence Agency (DCSA) and other government agencies for contract and site/facility compliance
- Develop and implement effective security training and education, to include initial, refresher and continuing education programs, Operational Security (OPSEC), Insider Threat programs and Foreign Travel programs, Standard Practice Procedures (SPP), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
- Develop and implement security documentation including program protection plans and managed access plans.
- Have experience with the classification management process and classification guides associated with DoD and IC information.
- All other Security duties required to manage a successful Security Program that provides excellent Customer Support and Security Services to all internal and external customers
*Because of the nature of this position, the successful applicant must be able to report physically to the Springfield, VA, Vienna, VA and Chantilly, VA locations within one hour when responding to security incidents.
Qualifications Required:
- BA/BS Degree; or equivalent relevant experience
- 10 years of experience as a Cleared Defense Contractor working in corporate and government environments as a FSO/CSSO.

- Management experience interpreting and authoring DD 254s,CDCGs, Security Classification Guides, and other areas of security-related contract management.
- Candidate should have excellent judgment and decision-making skills.
- Extensive knowledge of industrial security administration, contracts, and government databases that include, but are not limited to: Defense Information Security System (DISS), Electronic Questionnaire for Investigations (e-QIP), National Industrial Security System (NISS), C-Cure 9000, Scattered Castles etc.
- Experience in implementing security policy and procedures to ensure compliance with the National Industrial Security Program and other government security regulations
