About the role:
- Manages the development and implementation process of company's products and services involving departmental or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of new or existing products.
- Lead Brady Device Projects – Accolade (Hardware Design, Software Maintenance Releases, Manufacturing VIP, Certification Renewals, etc.) through planning, execution and implementation.
- Lead all activities associated with the Brady Sustaining Product Life Cycle Process (PLCP) which includes annual planning, review and prioritization of proposed Design and Manufacturing projects, monthly status updates and communication of prioritization to the organization.
- Lead World Wide Product Launches for Accolade and Brady inch-ups.
- Lead End-of Life activities for identified product.
- Work with broad cross-section of personnel at multiple levels. Depending on project, typical team members may include: Mechanical, Electrical, Software and Packaging Design; Regulatory; Supplier Development; Manufacturing; Design Assurance; Technical Communications; Marketing; Sales; and Supply Chain/Distribution personnel.
Your responsibilities include:
- Interacts with internal and external customers, by meeting regularly, responding to requests and explaining procedures.
- Interprets and executes policies that affect work processes and personnel within the assigned organizational unit.
- Contributes to the development of operational policies and procedures that affect personnel within the assigned organizational unit.
- Monitors compliance with company policies and procedures (e.g: compliance with FDA, BSI, EEO regulations, etc.).
- Monitors internal and external indicators by reviewing reports and newsletters, reading organizational literature, meeting with peers and reading departmental reports.
- Contributes to the development and monitoring of area budget through regular analysis of cost and spending.
Management Requirements
- Lead a group or team of employees in the achievement of organizational goals. Guide, coach, direct, and develop direct reports, and if applicable, drive those practices throughout their organization.
- Foster a diverse workplace that enables all participants to contribute to their full potential in pursuit of organizational objectives.
- May direct and control the activities and budget of one or more functional areas, divisions, product groups, projects/programs and/or operations.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures (e.g. federal/country and regulatory requirements).
What we’re looking for:
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree plus 3-5 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Experience in managing significant, cross functional projects and/or initiatives critical to the business.
Preferred Qualifications
- BS Degree, Engineering
- PMP Certification
- Knowledge of DHF, DMR and Engineering Change process
