Job Description:

The Center for Personalized Diagnostics at Biodesign Institute is seeking a Research Scientist (Assistant or Associate depending on rank) with immunoassay development and cancer biology/immunology background to develop state-of-the-art immunoproteomics platforms for precision oncology.

Essential Duties:

• Lead development of state-of-the-art immunoproteomics platforms
• Lead validation of assay platforms in animal models
• Perform scientific research on target discovery for personalized cancer immunotherapies
• Perform scientific research on drug target discovery for personalized cancer therapies
• Write manuscripts and reports
• Train junior researchers in the lab

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Assistant Research Scientist: Ph.D. degree in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Immunology, or a field appropriate to the area of assignment and at least 3 years of research experience (ideally postdoc)
• Associate Research Scientist: Ph.D. degree in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Immunology, or a field appropriate to the area of assignment and at least 5 years of research experience (ideally postdoc)
• Demonstrated strong background in immunoassays (Dependent on Rank)
• Experience in cell-based immunoassays and multi-omics assays (Dependent on Rank)
• Experience in mouse models of cancer (Dependent on Rank)
• Exceptional learning, writing, and presentation skills (Dependent on Rank)
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills (Dependent on Rank)

Desired Qualifications:

• Demonstrated knowledge in using and troubleshooting automated instruments (Dependent on Rank)
