About the role

Building Impact (BI) transforms corporate volunteering by connecting companies with meaningful community service opportunities that address real nonprofit needs. We partner with organizations to design volunteer programs that create authentic impact while strengthening workplace teams and community connections.

Our Approach: We follow a proven three-step model—listen, design, and measure—that ensures volunteer programs are meaningful for both corporate participants and nonprofit partners. Starting with community needs assessment, we co-design engaging projects that deliver measurable social impact.

Our Reach: Since our founding in Boston, we have grown to engage 20,000+ volunteers across 100+ organizations in all fifty states. In 2024 alone, we partnered with 58 companies to mobilize 11,000 volunteers, generating $2.4 million in community impact.

Our Partners: We work with leading organizations including Takeda, CarGurus, Boston Scientific, Amicus, Ropes & Gray, UnitedHealth Group, Breckinridge Capital Advisors, and Schneider Electric. Our sustainable fee-for-service model ensures continued organizational growth and impact.
