Senior Product Designer (f/m/d)

The position

At Hive, we're building the leading operations platform for independent commerce. As part of our continued growth, we’re looking for a Senior Product Designer to join the team.

As a Product Designer at Hive, you’ll create meaningful solutions that serve both our merchants and internal users. You’ll be part of a mission focused on helping hundreds of ambitious independent merchants grow their businesses. You’ll dive deep into the interconnected world of operations — exploring how fulfillment center processes, merchants, and end customers interact.

In this role, you’ll find ways to make the complex feel simple and see the direct impact of your design decisions. You’ll build empathy for the challenges our merchants and fulfillment center workers face, ensuring the product puts people first, delivers a best-in-class experience, and — most importantly — is refreshingly simple to use.

What you’ll do:

• Tackle complex design challenges by simplifying user experiences and making our product intuitive and easy to use.
• Lead projects end-to-end — from early concepts and prototypes through to polished, scalable solutions.
• Work closely with Product and Engineering to ship high-quality solutions that solve real problems for merchants and other users.
• Apply systems thinking to balance long-term scalability with MVPs that enable fast learning and iteration.
• Use various methods of research to build a deep understanding of user needs — and design experiences that align with business goals.
• Identify opportunities to improve the product and, where relevant, lead your own initiatives to drive progress.
• Contribute to our design system by reusing components and introducing thoughtful new patterns where needed.
• Share feedback, ideas, and support in design reviews and help foster an inclusive, collaborative design culture.

Your profile

• You’ve spent meaningful time operating at a Senior level — leading complex projects, shaping outcomes and direction, and driving product impact. Ideally, you have experience working on on B2B and/or SaaS products.
• Your portfolio showcases systems thinking, strong product, interaction, and visual design skills. You take pride in driving meaningful outcomes, maintaining a high bar for quality, and sweating the details.
• You enjoy working closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers and product managers, to bring ideas to life.
• You’re experienced in leading design projects end-to-end, iterating and refining solutions to create the best possible experience.
• You know how to balance intuition with research, using qualitative and quantitative insights to inform your decisions.
• You’re confident in articulating your design choices and bringing others along in your thinking.
• You’re comfortable navigating ambiguous problems and bringing clarity to your work — you take initiative, but you know when to ask questions and collaborate to move things forward.
• You’re experienced in Figma and comfortable working within a design system.
