JOB SUMMARY:
This is a Senior Financial Investigator position in the General Tax Administration Program, Field Operations, Criminal Investigations Process, in the Miami service center. The non-sworn incumbent conducts complex criminal investigations of revenue law violations and provides investigative assistance to our internal and external partners. The incumbent interviews potential subjects/witnesses; researches systems and records; identifies, gathers, secures, organizes, analyzes, and presents evidence; prepares case reports, probable cause affidavits, subpoena requests and search warrants; testifies at hearings/trials; participates in training; and handles required operational and administrative tasks.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Eighteen months of experience related to conducting investigations involving financial or regulatory investigations or examinations.
PREFERENCES:
- Preference will be given to those who have experience in researching, reviewing and analyzing data.
- Preference will be given to those who have experience conducting fact finding interviews.
- Preference will be given to those who have experience testifying in a Judicial proceeding.
SPECIAL NOTES:
- This position requires regular travel for field visits, training, meetings, conferences and other job-related responsibilities. You will be required to provide your own means of transportation. Mileage will be reimbursed according to existing Department of Revenue policies at the time of travel.
SALARY: The hiring salary for this position generally will not exceed $4,191.73 monthly/$50,300.76 annually.
