We have an immediate need for an Electronic Systems Technician 3rd Shift (onsite)
What You Will Do:
- Reads and interprets board layouts, schematics and BOMs
- Tests Faulty equipment and applies knowledge of functional operation of electronics to diagnose causes of the malfunction and repair.
- Adjusts, modifies and repairs electronic systems, works from sketches, layouts, and diagrams.
- Recommend changes in circuitry or installation specifications to simplify assembly and maintenance.
- Maintains electric and electronic test equipment.
- Checks functioning of newly installed equipment to evaluate system performance under actual operating conditions.
- Disassemble manual equipment and replace it with new or repaired parts.
- Uses hand tools, power tools, and simple machine tools to repair manufacturing equipment.
- Perform Preventative Maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
- Perform General Maintenance duties as needed.
- Perform system calibrations and recordings
Qualifications You Must Have:
- HS Diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years’ experience in a related field.
Qualifications we prefer:
- In compliance with the collective bargaining agreement, priority consideration is given to candidates who are INTERNAL (and recall) to the Pratt & Whitney IAM Bargaining Unit members of District Lodge 26 and Affiliated Locals 700 and 1746 (Connecticut Operations).
- Bachelor’s degree in electronic engineering or Completed 4-year Apprenticeship
- 4+ years’ experience Aerospace/Manufacturing
- 3+ years electronics/electrical trades experience, working on and servicing CNC machines
- Licensed electrician E1/E2

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.
Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.
