As Technical Support you will ensure Baker Hughes delivers flawless execution by providing Technical Support to the Service Delivery and Sales organizations when needed in pre-planning, job execution, and post job analysis.

As Technical Support you will be responsible for: 

• Providing troubleshooting and solutions to our service delivery team to ensure flawless customer execution.
• 24/7 Support for critical operations in the field as needed.
• Ensure compliance with Manage the Job Cycle (MtJC) process.
• Subject Matter Expert for their area of support.
• Support the field technically through different media (online , phone calls and technical papers).
• Share the knowledge across the organization by submitting best practices, case histories & lessons learned to the knowledge management database.
• Follow up on field failures that requires technology involvement and ensure that the learning is shared across the field.
• Raise an alert across the Service Delivery organization as technical issues arise.
• Coach other employees in their area of expertise.
• Communicate to Engineering and Technology organization on issues and lessons learned related to different technologies.
• PL specific responsibilities.
• Handles special projects as required.

To be successful in this role you will have: 

• Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years experience in Drilling Services product line.
• 3+ years of field experience with Baker Drilling Services downhole tools.
• Displays initiative, is self-driven & flexible.
• Demonstrate excellent written, verbal and presentation skills including communicating complex technical content to a range of audiences.
• Be able to travel to regional, global and off-shore locations (around 25% of the time).
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Availability to be on call outside of normal business hours (24/7).
• Good communication skills.

DESIRED CHARACTERISTICS:

• Thorough understanding of PL technology and Service Delivery requirements.
• Significant operational experience with Baker Drilling Services tools.
• End to End knowledge of the drilling and completion process is an advantage.
• Ability to develop and mentor others.
• Ability to learn and use various computer tools to prepare data and visualizations for analysis.
• Ability to work independently.
