GENERAL SUMMARY
The Registered Nurse Manager will be responsible for providing, delegating, and coordinating nursing care within a small Class A Ambulatory Surgery Center. This position oversees the day-to-day functions of a small surgical team in an ASC setting- while caring for patients and assisting doctors with procedures. This includes ensuring policies and procedures are followed while leading staff by example. This position also oversees compliance items like infection control and record keeping.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION/COMPETENCIES
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Work with and supervise clinical staff.
- Partner with the Administrator and others at all levels of the organization to plan and manage the day-to-day operations of the surgery center.
- Determine and maintain adequate nursing staff requirements in relation to patient care standards.
- Communicate with doctors, patients and family members about the patients' health.
- Track outcomes identify areas for improvement and implement plans of correction.
- Ensure that annual competency evaluations and performance reviews are completed in a timely manner.
- Possess strong organizational and analytical skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Ability to identify problems and resolve issues.
- Ability to make constant/frequent judgment/response to problems.
- Excellent critical thinking skills.
- Knowledgeable of accreditations and patient safety.
- Comply with HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Word, Excel, Power Point, Access).
- Perform other related duties as needed.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSURES OR REGISTRY REQUIREMENTS
- RN license and certification required by state.
- BLS certification required. ACLS preferred.
KNOWLEDGE | SKILLS | ABILITIES
- Delivers exceptional patient service throughout all interactions.
- Knowledge in healthcare systems operations such as EMR.
- Complies with HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality.
- Employees shall adhere to high standards of ethical conduct and will comply with and assist in complying with all applicable laws and regulations. This will include and not be limited to following the Solaris Health Code of Conduct and all Solaris Health and Affiliated Practice policies and procedures; maintaining the confidentiality of patients' protected health information in compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA); immediately reporting any suspected concerns and/or violations to a supervisor and/or the Compliance Department; and the timely completion the Annual Compliance Training.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program required. BSN preferred.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- 1-2 years prior experience supervising nursing staff.
- Surgical experience preferred.
