Position Overview

This individual requires strong analytical skills and an accounting / finance background.  The position is a key analyst on the team and will be responsible for gathering data using queries in the system, analyzing information, reconciling mass billings, preparing presentations in Excel and PowerPoint. This individual must have a proven track record as a financial analyst and will need to be self-motivated with the interpersonal skills to work closely with other departments and management.

Responsibilities

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Play an active role in the development and preparation of reports needed for management to successfully run and monitor the business.

Develop proven process improvements for transactional processing.

Ability to make independent decisions, be able to add system improvements to AR processes, work with IT to develop system improvements from design and test to implementation.

Monitor and track the Company’s ability to cash in on orders that are outstanding.  Investigate and resolve errors stemming from mass upload billings.

Review department SOP’s annually for accuracy and update as needed.

Process weekly, monthly and quarterly reports and distribute. (AR Aging, QC’s, period end reports.)

Supervision Exercised

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

 

Qualifications

Qualifications & Skills

Associate’s Degree or equivalent preferred.

2-5 years of related experience within a transportation and logistics environment.

SAP experience required.

Experience with BI Analytics or equivalent preferred.

Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft products, particularly Excel.

Strong organizational skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Detail-oriented.

Strong written and oral communication skills as well as exceptional customer service.

 Physical Demands

• Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
• Ability to operate a computer keyboard and to view a computer screen for extended periods of time.
• Ability to lift, tug, pull up to fifteen (15) pounds
