Senior Product Designer (Mobile)

At Noonlight our mission is to protect and comfort people so they can live freely. What began as an app focused on helping people walk safely from point A to point B, is now a suite of emergency response APIs backing some of the smartest home, health, lifestyle, and commercial security products in the market.

We are looking for an experienced mobile designer to enrich our iOS and Android app experiences. As a Sr. Product Designer, you will be responsible for talking with customers and gathering insights, influencing the Noonlight app product roadmap, designing new features to meet customer needs, advocating for simplicity, and continuously improving our iTunes App Store (4.7) and Google Play Store (4.3) ratings.

What can you do for Noonlight?

• Be an advocate: Connect with Noonlight app customers daily. Develop a continuous and deep understanding of where and when people feel unsafe. Share insights with your team and advocate for end users
• Be hands on: Lead the entire design process, from initial concept and wireframes, to prototyping, to final UI design
• Be a perfectionist: Design and maintain simple, high-quality iOS and Android applications 
• Be an expert: Stay ahead of iOS and Android trends, requirements, and new technologies, and evaluate and make recommendations as necessary
• Be a collaborator: Share design rationale with product, engineering, and leadership to ensure good decisions are being made 
• Be flexible: Excel in ambiguity, and demonstrate an eagerness to iterate on ideas based on feedback from customers and stakeholders
• Bring your ideas! We want our designers to deliver insights, push the team’s thinking, push their own thinking, and help us disrupt the personal safety industry

Requirements: 

• Bachelor’s in related field or equivalent professional experience
• 3-5 years experience designing consumer mobile applications
• Online portfolio showcasing mobile design work
• Experience with standard design tools like Adobe XD, Figma, Sketch, Keynote, and/or prototyping tools
• Some experience leading UX customer interviews
• Ability to think at a high level about product strategy, principles, and vision, while demonstrating curiosity and a real passion for crafting amazing experiences

Nice-to-haves:

• Ability to translate your designs from pixels to code, or at least have some basic coding experience
