Job Description
Laurel Ridge Community College is accepting applications for adjunct, part-time faculty (day, evening and weekend) positions for a humanities and social science adjunct. Adjunct Faculty positions are appointed on a course-by-course, semester basis as needed. Responsibilities include teaching college level courses, which may include distance learning on and off campus courses during the day, evening and weekends. This position will be located on the Middletown Campus, Fauquier Campus, and Luray-Page County Center as needed.

Humanities and Social Science includes but is not limited to: Arts, Education, English, Economics, History, Psychology, Philosophy, Spanish, Speech/Drama and Sociology.
Adjunct faculty teach a variety of day, evening and weekend classes. Responsibilities include teaching college level courses, which may include distance learning on and off campus courses during the day, evening and weekends.
Applicants should possess a Master’s degree, have eighteen graduate semester hours in the discipline/prefix specific to the class, and a history of successful teaching or related experience. Certain developmental or technical courses may be taught by instructors with a Bachelor’s degree, a special certification, and/or work experience. This is a continuous posting and applicants will be contacted on an as needed basis.
Compensation and Benefits:
The credit hour pay range is $794.00-$1,375.50. The position is part time and as such is not eligible for health or leave benefits. However, the position may offer educational benefits through our professional development and educational assistance policies.
